DEE DEE M. SCOTT
Author, playwright, film producer and entrepreneur Dee Dee M. Scott's motto is "The sky is not the limit; the limit is higher than the sky" and with her extensive resume of creative works, she is certainly doing her part to live up to that motto.
Dee Dee was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina. Upon high school graduation, Scott went on to complete studies in Business Management and Entrepreneurship with minors in psychology and German Language. An educator, she worked as an elementary school teacher for several years and is a certified life coach and fitness trainer.
A life-long lover of books, Dee Dee began writing at the age of six. However, she did not complete her first manuscript until 2008. In 2009, Scott exploded onto the scene with her debut novel, My Husband's Woman, a tale of love and deception which Scott later adapted into a stage play that toured South Carolina and continues to successfully tour. The play earned Scott: The Golden Pen Playwright Award, and Columbia Theater Review named her: Playwright to Watch.
Scott's follow-up novel, Sent From Heaven was a #1 contemporary romance Amazon bestseller. My Husband's Woman also reached #1 on the US Amazon Kindle Bestseller list along with follow-ups to the, Sent From Heaven Series- two and three. Recently, Scott served as supervising producer for the horror movie Lake House, a psychological thriller that will hit select theaters soon. (www.lakehousefilm.com)
When Scott isn't writing, she runs Awesome Scott PR Firm & Talent Agency with her husband and heads her non-profit, Joseph & Kathy Gregg's Child, which was named after her parents and provides theater and acting classes for children and teens. She resides in South Carolina with her husband and their children.
