- It all began with a vision for Dee Dee M. Scott. When no one believed in her work, God showed her that He had anointed her hands to create and become an author. Under her mother’s watchful eye, Dee Dee begun writing songs at the age of six and making her brother and sister perform them in front of her mom's friends. By the time she turned sixteen, Dee Dee was writing poetry and was invited to recite her work at universities, schools and special events.
- Winning several awards for her poetry, Scott had stories in her head that she wanted to create, but she had no idea where to begin.
- With faith in Jesus, Scott studied for years. After facing rejection for her work, Scott decided she would pursue her writing dreams. She decided to create her own publishing company to bring out her work. She released her first book, *My Husband’s Woman*, in 2008. The book became a bestseller and a classic, inspiring many others to use it as a blueprint for their own stories.
- Scott did not stop there. She went on to write a stage play of the same name, which toured and featured Reginald Ballard, the actor best known as “Bruh-Man from the fifth flo’” in the Fox sitcom Martin, along with Lunden De’Leon, who was nominated for "Best Leading Actress."
- Dee Dee's next pursuit was film, and to date, she has three films scheduled for release in 2025, one of which won the Audience Choice Award and Best Actress at the Ghoulish Oktoberfest.
